Cyp. calceolus x C. shanxiense

A cross between the European yellow lady slipper and the Chinese schanxiense. This is a beautiful burgundy rust to cinnamon color with some yellow and orange highlights on the pouch. This one can be a bit trickier to grow so we don’t recommend it for beginners.

*****The first picture is not of ‘Schoko’ it is ‘Annegret’ which is a similar cross (parviflorum x shanxiense). It shows the coloration of ‘Schoko’ very well however, ‘Schoko’ tends to have less spiraled tendrils and be a little larger.

Zones 4-6. 12-14 in. Light shade, cool moist rich well-drained soil. May appreciate lime.
