Cypripedium kentuckiense x C. corrugatum
Cypripedium kentuckiense x C. corrugatum
C. kentuckiense x C. corrugatum
This is a cross of the North American Native C. kentuckiense and the Chinese C. corrugatum (syn. C. tibeticum). The flowers of this hybrid are quite striking with dark red/pink laid over a cream colored pouch. The hood and tendrils are the same creamy yellow heavily streaked with dark pink. The C. kentuckiense parentage means that it will have a large flower and will bloom a bit later in the season.
Zones 3-7. 12-20 in. Light shade, cool moist rich well-drained soil.
