This is the northern native small yellow lady slipper. These are similar to C. parviflorum var. parviflorum except that they can’t take as much heat so I’m putting their top zone as zone 5, but they may do OK in zone 6 if protected from intense summer heat. C. parviflorum can be found in both wet meadows, fens and bogs where they get a bit more sun and in deciduous woodlands where they can handle a bit more acidic conditions than C. pubescens.

Zones 3-5. 6-14 in. Light shade, cool moist rich well-drained soil.
