This northeast native meadow rue likes moist to wet soils especially if planted in full sun. It is dioecious, but both male and female plants produce a large spray of firework like fluffy flowers above a mound of green columbine-like foliage adding visual interest to the garden.

Zones 3-8. 3-7 ft. Full sun to part shade. Moist rich, well-drained soil.
