This is the best known of the Japanese cobra lilies. It has a dark purple spathe that sports a purple and green striped hood. Inside, sits a snowy white spadix with a rounded tip. Mid-spring bloom. Cold hardy but

needs good winter drainage.

Zones 4-8. 12-20 in. Moist, well-drained soil. Needs good drainage. Shade to part shade.
