Another Chinese species, this plant has very large tropical looking three part leaves and large maroon striped flowers that look like a cobra's head. It comes up late and blooms in late June to July. It will offset quite freely forming a nice clump. Sometimes these corms take a year in garden soil before they will bloom.

Zones 5-8. 2-3 ft. Moist, well-drained soil. Needs good drainage. Shade to part shade.
