C. planipetalum x C. kentuckiense

Cypripedium planipetalum is a distinct form of Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens that has a smaller flower, and stalk and grows further north. When crossed with Cyp. kentuckiense here, it makes a lovely cross of two North American natives similar to the PK we’ve had in the past.

Zones 3-8. 12-24 in. Light shade, cool moist rich well-drained soil.
