California Lady Slipper

Native to Northern California and Southern Oregon, it is usually found along mountain streams. They can have multiple small fragrant flowers per stalk and grow into nice clumps with the right conditions. These plants were greenhouse grown in the Netherlands. It could prove tricky for the beginner, but an interesting addition for the avid collector.

Zones 7-9 or lower with good winter mulching. 8-20 in. Light shade, cool moist well-drained soil and a mulch cover.
