Gillenia stipulata - American Ipecac

Gillenia stipulata - American Ipecac

$21.00

Like its cousin Gillenia trifoliata, this plant sports large numbers of one-inch star-shaped white flowers on wiry stems. The deeply cut, five-parted leaves give it a more lacy, delicate look. This form is also a little more upright than G. trifoliata and blooms a few weeks later (Early July here in zone 5). This form is also useful for dry, shady sites, but can also handle some sun. Native to eastern U.S. (Syn. Porteranthus)

Zones 4-8. 2-3 ft. Sun to Part shade, garden soil. Can be dry.

We are offering blooming-sized plants grown in half-gallon pots.
