This is the most ornamental of our North American disporums, with two-inch nodding purple-spotted cream flowers. The spring blooms have a welcome sweet scent and the leaves add a nice textural element throughout the season. Will form a nice clump. Southeastern US native.

Zones 4-8. 12-24 in. Part shade. Moist, well-drained garden soil.
