This is a great species larkspur, forming large vigorous clumps that tend to be long lived. Light blue to violet flowers on stems that stay upright. Blooms in late summer and may rebloom in the fall. It has a more refined look than the hybrids, which often require staking. Native to eastern U.S.

Zones 4-8. 3-6 ft. Part Sun. Moist well drained soil.
