C. planipetalum x C. pubescens

Cypripedium planipetalum is a distinct form of Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens that has a smaller flower, and stalk and grows further north. When crossed with Cyp. parviflorum var. pubescens here, it makes a lovely cross of two close North American relatives. Distinguishing characteristics are the almost horizontal twisted tendrils and hybrid vigor.
